Game Over is a 2019 Indian Tamil-Telugu bilingual thriller film written and directed by Ashwin Saravanan. The film stars Taapsee Pannu as a person on wheel chair, who is defending her home from a mysterious entity.[1][2] The film is produced jointly by Y NOT Studios and Reliance Entertainment and presented by Anurag Kashyap. The music is composed by Ron Ethan Yohann. Principal photography commenced on 10 October 2018,[3] and was released on 14 June 2019. The film opened to extremely positive reviews from the critics after its release and praised Taapsee's performance.

Production

The film marks the return of actress Taapsee in Kollywood after a brief hiatus of three years.[4] The first look poster of the film which displayed Taapsee sitting in a wheelchair with legs in plastic patches was unveiled on 10 October 2018.[5][6] The shooting of the film commenced on the very next day on 11 October 2018. Pannu went under intense training playing a person on wheel chair.[2] The shooting of the film was wrapped up on 14 December 2018.[7]

Marketing and release

The official teaser of the film was released on 14 May 2019 by Y NOT Studios.[8] The official trailer of the film was released in Tamil, Hindi and Telugu on 30 May 2019. The Tamil trailer was launched by Dhanush and the Telugu trailer was launched by Rana Daggubati [9]
The film was released on 14 June.
